Due to a loss of water pressure, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality has required the Fort Bend County MUD 222, TX0790607, public water system to notify all customers to boil their water prior to consumption (e.g., washing hands/face, brushing teeth, drinking, etc.). Children, seniors, and persons with weakened immune systems are particularly vulnerable to harmful bacteria, and all customers should follow these directions).
To ensure destruction of all harmful bacteria and other microbes, water for drinking, cooking, and ice making should be boiled and cooled prior to use for drinking water or human consumption purposes. The water should be brought to a vigorous rolling boil and then boiled for two minutes.
In lieu of boiling, individuals may purchase bottled water or obtain water from some other suitable source for drinking water or human consumption purposes.
When it is no longer necessary to boil the water, the public water system officials will notify customers that the water is safe for drinking water or human consumption purposes.
Once the boil water notice is no longer in effect, the public water system will issue a notice to customers that rescinds the boil water notice in a manner similar to this notice.
Please share this information with all the other people who drink this water, especially those who may not have received this notice directly (for example, people in apartments, nursing homes, schools, and businesses). You can do this by posting this notice in a public place or distributing copies by hand or mail.
If you have questions regarding this matter, you may contact the Operations Company for your District at: (832) 490-1601 or by emailing customercare@sienviro.com.

Stage 1 – Mandatory Water Use Restrictions – Effective 10/20/2023
Drought restrictions have been downgraded to Stage 1 as of October 20, 2023 at 11:00 a.m.
Fort Bend County Municipal Utility District No. 222 has instituted Stage 1 of its Drought Contingency Plan. Your cooperation is imperative to provide adequate water and water pressure to the community.
The following steps are VOLUNTARY at this time and apply to all persons:
- Customers are requested to voluntarily limit the irrigation of landscaped areas with hose-end sprinklers or automatic irrigation systems to Sundays and Thursdays for customers with a street address ending in an even number (0, 2, 4, 6 or 8), and Saturdays and Wednesdays for water customers with a street address ending in an odd number (1, 3, 5, 7 or 9). Avoid irrigation from 5:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. However, irrigation of landscaped areas is permitted at any time if it is by means of a hand-held hose, a faucet filled bucket or watering can of five (5) gallons or less, or drip irrigation system.
- All operations of the District shall adhere to water use restrictions prescribed for Stage 1 of the Plan.
- Customers are requested to practice water conservation and to minimize or discontinue water use for non-essential purposes.
Your voluntary adherence to these Stage 1 steps is appreciated.
