Harris County M.U.D. 344 has implemented Stage 1 of the District’s Drought Contingency Plan, effective July 24, 2023 and continuing until a similar notice is provided that the implementation has been lifted.
The goal is a 5% reduction in the use of all water and is voluntary, currently. All Customers are requested to practice water conservation and to minimize or discontinue Non-essential water uses.
Please conserve water daily under the following guidelines.
- Customers with even-numbered addresses should limit outdoor water usage, including irrigation of landscape to Tuesday & Saturday, between the hours of 10:00 p.m., on designated day, to 5:00 a.m. the following day.
- Customers with odd-numbered addresses should limit outdoor water usage, including irrigation of landscape to Wednesday & Sunday, between the hours of 10:00 p.m., on designated day, to 5:00 a.m. the following day.
- HOA’s and Customers responsible for common areas, should limit outdoor water usage, including irrigation of landscape to Monday & Friday, between the hours of 10:00 p.m., on designated day, to 5:00 a.m. the following day.
In addition to the above guidelines, we ask that you also voluntarily reduce all water usage, check for and repair all leaks, including sprinkler systems, leaky faucets, and/or running toilets. Mandatory measures may be imposed if a water shortage continues.
