Planned Maintenance: Monday, July 10, 2023

The city will be conducting emergency repairs to a water well beginning at 9:00 am on Monday, July 10, 2023. The repairs are expected to take 48 to 72 hours.

During the repairs, we anticipate many customers will experience low water pressure and/or be without water. We strongly encourage all customers to make personal preprations to be without city water service.

All customers should follow the below requirements for the entire duration of the well repairs (even if the repairs exceed the expected duration):

1. All irrigation, car washing, recreational activities involving water use, and filling/replenishing pool water is prohibited during the well repairs. For customers that do not comply with this requirement, city personnel may choose to temporarily turn off the customer’s water meter to help prevent low water pressure on the system. City personnel will attempt to make contact with the customer prior to turning off meter.

2. Please turn-off automatic irrigation systems prior to 9:00 am on Monday, July 10, 2023, and do not turn them back on until repairs are completed.

3. Conserve water by eliminating all other non-essential water use.

A boil water notice will be issued in accordance with state regulations if pressures drop below the required minimum level. The boil water notice (if issued) will likely go beyond the time period of the well repairs due to the time it takes to test water samples after a boil water notice is issued.

The city is making every effort possible to minimize service disruptions and maintain system pressure. We truly appreciate your patience and cooperation.

Important note: frequent updates will be posted to the city website during this process. We strongly encourage all customers to check the city website for updates on progress and other important information before contacting city staff.
